FL Monks roosting in a palm tree

Florida is one state in which Monks can probably be considered to be an established introduced species. This information is from Annamaria Van Doorn, who is currently studying Monks as part of her PhD study on feral parrots in Florida.

The following list contains counties in which more than five monk parakeets have been observed and seen repeatedly. There were a few sites with one or two monks seen one year, but these have not been included since they were most likely escaped pets.
