Here I will post photos of other South Chicago wildlife that I have had the opportunity to photograph. Hyde Park actually shows a high level of biodiversity during the migrations, although I must say my photographic skills and patience do not allow me to photograph most species. An immature Cooper's Hawk (Accipiter cooperii) that hunted house sparrows around a local feeder for most of the winter. The parakeets were very wary of this raptor and kept their distance when it was in their vicinity.
Below you will see a female ruby-throated hummingbird I photographed in St. Louis last summer.
